Modern amenities, heartfelt hospitality, timeless luxury.

What it's like

Shaped by a vision to provide heartfelt hospitality in the I-495 corridor near Boston, The Groton Inn is nestled in a charming town surrounded by beautiful rural landscapes and stunning views  Your approach to the property will make you feel truly welcomed: A white columned full porch facade is in harmony with classical New England architecture while the interior gives pride of place to raw materials - wood, steel and textiles. Each of the 60 hand-appointed rooms provides a unique opportunity to discover your favorite floor plan, window view, bed size and furniture arrangement. Of course you’ll find the expected features like flat-screen TVs, comfortable mattresses, eco-friendly bath amenities and Wi-Fi, but it’s elements like luxurious linens, feather-like duvets, plush robes and comfortable work spaces that deliver true luxury to the discerning traveler.

Independent spirit

The antidote to big-box hotels.

Small touches

Instead of a labyrinth of identical hallways and rooms, lose yourself in a rotating fine art collection of 50+ New England artists, curated by Groton’s NOA Gallery.  You’ll find beautiful works by artists whose lives and work are deeply tied to the region. Retreat to the courtyard, a total escape only feet away from Main Street. Offering a variety of seating options, an outdoor fireplace and immediate views of pastoral Gibbet Hill, the courtyard is a breath of fresh air.

Eat and drink

In the morning, follow your nose to the sun-lit Keep’s Conservatory for a made-to-order hot breakfast with gracious service, included your rate if you book directly with the hotel or through Stash. Emerging from the landscape behind The Groton Inn is the award-winning destination restaurant, Forge & Vine. As a neighborhood hotspot, it’s often filled with not just hotel guests but locals with good taste, too. Drawing inspiration from the region’s history and natural surroundings, this 156-seat freestanding restaurant features an 8-foot wood-fired grill as its centerpiece, plus an open kitchen with counter seating where guests can enjoy dinner while interacting with the chefs. Choose to dine on the deck or the patio, or for special occasions, consider the 20-seat private dining room with moveable walls.

And more

With 6,500 square feet of meeting space, plus a backdrop and backstory that’s incredibly interesting -- The Groton Inn is a natural choice for weddings, meetings and events.  With its beautifully landscaped courtyard with fireplace, The Groton Inn can be a lovely location for ceremonies, receptions and gala celebrations. Knowledgeable and gracious staff members bring an abundance of class and tradition to every occasion.
