Stay where the itinerary writes itself.

What it's like

Unicoi State Park & Lodge feels like a mountain basecamp with a serious sense of place. Set within 1,029 acres of North Georgia scenery, mornings can start with a quiet walk on the trails, continue with a paddle across Unicoi Lake, and wind down with dinner by the stone fireplace. Just two miles from Alpine Helen, the property keeps you close to the area's Bavarian-inspired village charm while still feeling rooted in the surrounding forest.

Independent spirit

The Lodge features 96 comfortable, modern guestrooms made for settling in and sleeping well after a full day outside. Every room includes plush mattresses, soft sheets, flat-screen TVs, mini refrigerators, coffee makers, and other travel essentials that keep things easy. Across the property, Unicoi gives you plenty of ways to earn that good night's sleep, whether you're hiking through the forest, biking mountain trails, relaxing on the beach, casting a line, or taking to the trees on a zip line canopy tour. Add in the archery and air gun range, hatchet throwing, and guided park programs, and each day can be as packed or easygoing as you want.
