Fort William Henry Hotel covers 18 acres at the southern end of Lake George in Lake George Village. The first hotel here opened in 1855, and the resort has run year-round since 1912. The original hotel opened in 1855 on a bluff overlooking the southern end of Lake George. After a fire destroyed it in 1909, it was rebuilt two years later. The current Grand Hotel opened on that footprint in 2004. Today, you can spend the morning exploring the living-history fort, then settle onto the veranda facing the water. Summer brings days by the pool, lawn games, and families spread across the waterfront. Fall brings color to the surrounding mountains, winter invites a slower stay with a soak in the indoor hot tub, and spring draws you back outside as the lake comes to life.

Three buildings spread across the property, each offering accommodations with their own distinct feel. Some rooms have fireplaces or jetted tubs, while others open straight onto the grounds. Beyond your room, spend sunny afternoons at the Olympic-size outdoor pool or head inside for a swim, a soak in the hot tub, or a little time in the sauna. In the evening, reserve a private firepit on the lawn and settle in with lake views and s'mores.
Lakeside Restaurant & Lounge runs year-round, serving classic American fare with craft cocktails and live music on Fridays. The Lookout Bar & Grill opens seasonally, with a deck overlooking the lake. King's Coffee serves espresso in the lobby, and The Candy Apple offers a sweet finish with hand-dipped apples and homemade fudge. If you're heading into the village, you'll find more dining along Canada Street.
