Experience Palm Springs like the stars.
The Velvet Rope makes its home in a 1952 Herbert Burns courtyard hotel in Palm Springs' Las Palmas neighborhood, with its mid-century architecture front and center. Behind each door, one of nine themed suites celebrates a different Golden Age Hollywood icon. This adults-only retreat is playful, glamorous, and fully committed to its bygone era.
A living tribute to the Golden Age.
The Honeymoon Suite draws from Elvis's Graceland, with peacock stained glass and walls of blue velvet. The Candelabra glitters with crystal chandeliers and gold for Liberace. The Rat Pack brings Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. to the desert. The Ricardo re-creates Lucy and Ricky's living room. The Playmate goes black, gold, and red velvet for the Playboy era. The Lavender is dressed in violet for Elizabeth Taylor. The Legendary is pure Studio 54. The Old Hollywood channels Jean Harlow's platinum glamour. And the Presidential Estate, the largest of the nine, ties the whole Golden Age together.
Step back in time and stay a while.
Every suite opens directly onto the pool, putting a refreshing dip just steps from your door. Plush king-sized beds, oversized walk-in showers, and luxury finishes throughout come standard. Depending on which suite you choose, you might also have a lavish seating area to settle into. The pool and hot tub stay open around the clock, with cabanas and the San Jacinto Mountains just beyond.
Bar Valerie is the hotel's onsite lounge, with a speakeasy style and a location just steps from the pool and suites. Select suites come with a kitchenette, and the Presidential Estate has a full kitchen. For meals out, the surrounding Las Palmas neighborhood puts you within walking distance of plenty of dining options, from cocktail bars and elevated restaurants to more casual spots.
