History meets luxury on Otsego Lake.
At the heart of the village of Cooperstown sits The Otesaga Resort Hotel, a grand Colonial Revival resort of red brick and broad porches. From the property, views stretch across Otsego Lake toward one of the country's top public golf courses along the water's edge.

Immediately upon arrival, the hush of the lake takes over. Sunlight crosses Otsego Lake the same way it has for over a century, and the wood-paneled halls and thirty-foot columns still do the work they were built to do. Modern comforts run through the property, while the ambiance and the pace belong to an older, slower Cooperstown. The Otesaga Resort Hotel has been where the town comes to gather ever since its doors first opened in 1909.
Where every detail shares a story.
Rooms feature refined country-house furnishings, soft hues that echo the lake and landscape outside, and framed art reproductions from the nearby Fenimore Art Museum. Custom linens, plush bathrobes, and premium bath products add to the comfort. Around the resort, you'll find plenty of ways to spend the day, including a round on the lakeside Leatherstocking Golf Course, a treatment at the Hawkeye Spa, or a swim in the heated outdoor pool. The tennis and pickleball courts offer more ways to stay active, while kayaks at the private dock and bicycles make it easy to explore Otsego Lake and Cooperstown.
Fresh-brewed coffee and pastries offer the perfect start to the day at Mohican Market. For lunch, The Hawkeye Bar & Grill serves some of the best burgers in town alongside stone-fired pizzas and pints of local beer. Just be sure to save room for its famous Guinness-infused Chocolate Stout Cake. At 1909, Executive Chef Jim Perillo leads the kitchen, serving dry-aged steaks, fresh oysters, and world-class wine in the candlelit dining room or on the lakeside veranda. Evenings end with handcrafted cocktails beside the fire as the sun sets over Otsego Lake at the Fire Bar. During the summer months, start the day with Belgian waffles from the bountiful buffet at Glimmerglass before heading out for a round of golf. Afterward, unwind on the patio at Leatherstocking Golf Bar & Grill with classic grill fare and a cold drink.
Located on the shores of Otsego Lake, less than a mile from downtown Cooperstown, New York.
