There’s nowhere in the world quite like the Volcano Village Lodge. You can’t beat the convenience: It’s located just two miles from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and close to popular attractions like the green sand beach and the black sand beach. Location is a key factor that makes this place unique. While the property is 4,000 feet above sea level, it’s worlds away from the stresses of everyday life. Offering the perfect backdrop for solitude and relaxation, Volcano Village Lodge gives guests the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be immersed in a native old growth Hawaiian rainforest with ancient volcanic features, lava tubes and rare native plants and flowers. It is a place where you can experience true 'Aloha Spirit'.
Volcano Village is the gateway to Volcanoes National Park and the lodge is an easy drive into the park. The village is a small community with very little in the way of traditional tourism, it is a great way to experience true Hawaiian "Aloha" with many of the businesses and restaurants being locally owned. When guests arrive at the lodge they remark on the peace and quiet that surrounds them. They love the quiet pitter patter of rain on the roof of their private hideaway. Many of the lodges are positioned for absolute privacy and are tucked away into the rain forest making it feel like you are staying in a secluded tree house. Sit on your private deck and enjoy a cup of fresh ground local Kona coffee before breakfast. Then after a day of exploring, soak in the hot tub and maybe relax by the fire in your room with a good book before retiring for the night. Wifi is not fast, and there is no cable TV so it is the perfect place to switch off for a few days.
An idyllic stay in every way near the summit of an active volcano.
Each lodge is appointed with the best linens, fluffy bathrobes, and slippers. Included in each lodge is a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, tea kettle and coffee maker.
