From River Terrace Inn it’s an easy walk to downtown Napa’s wine bars, the Napa Valley Opera House, and the Oxbow Public Market (cupcake fans: worth the trip just for Kara's cupcakes). The Inn opens on to the Napa River and a view of the hills--countrified and peaceful.
The rooms are airy, and many have balconies overlooking the river. The décor blends woodsy accents with rich fabrics, and goose-down comforters cover the beds. Bring home as much wine as you like from your day in Napa: the Inn supplies wine storage units to keep them safe.
Wine country view, downtown energy
Sometimes after a long, hard day of wine-tasting, it's nice to have the spa come to you. The hotel can arrange in-room massages, sea-salt treatments, pedicures, manicures, and more.
Onsite restaurant ALBA draws guests and locals alike with its sharable small plates and perfect pairings — wine (naturally) and craft mixed cocktails. Executive Chef Matthew Grigg has designed a "high-country" menu with unexpected standouts. We strongly suggest the Pork Belly Crepes and the Truffle Caesar.
River Terrace inn is in downtown Napa, walking distance to the Napa Valley Wine Train. The wineries of Napa and Sonoma Counties start five minutes away, and the wine towns of Yountville, St. Helena, and Calsitoga are all about a half hours’s drive away or less. San Francisco is one hour south.
